Sinus Mass
Case History
10 year old Tennessee Walking Gelding presented to the University of Minnesota for facial swelling.
Swelling was first noted just rostral to the medial canthus of the right eye in mid-June.
Since then, it has grown across midline. Horse has intermittent nasal discharge, mainly from the right nostril. Primary veterinary radiographs are suspicious for a sinus mass.
Horse also has history of 3rd eyelid removal on the right approximately three years prior.
On exam, firm swelling centered rostral to medial canthus of right eye and extending across midline in the same plane.
